| Massachusetts School Library Media Program Standards Revision Update By Peggy Hallisey Membership comments received on last summer's posting of the revised Standards document suggested that more work was needed to strengthen its focus on student learning and on building a community of learners. To accomplish this, the specific school library media resources/tools needed to positively impact learning and teaching were moved from the Standard Statement to its Specifications section. The need was also seen for the MSLMA Standards document to complement both the national guidelines for school library media programs and the MSLMA Rubric for Model School Library Media Programs. To accomplish this, the revised MSLMA Standards will divide into three sections with two standards in each section. The sections will be: Learning and Teaching, Information Access and Delivery, and Program Administration. The school library media program standards will be for: Learning, Teaching, Facilities, Resources, Management and Leadership, and Administrative Support. The document is scheduled for completion in October 2003. It will contain:
MSLMA members are invited to submit one of their successful collaborative integrated units to be considered for inclusion in the MSLMA Standards document as a model integrated learning scenario. The format for submission is:
